The New Allegro Open Road 36LA

So in the previous post, I mentioned that we had settled on the Allegro 36LA as meeting our needs.  Here is a picture from the brochure of the floorplan:

We did get the L shaped sofa and the dinette with computer workstation.  For those of you who are in to the options, we ordered just about everything including: Summo springs, 7.0 generator, amber cabinets, tile backsplash, Malta floor tile, pre-wired for Traveler satellite (More on that later), Winegard connect (more on that later too), 2000 watt PSW inverter, power driver's window, in-dash navigation, central vacuum, stacked washer-dryer, ultra leather power driver & passenger seats with footrest, cooktop w/convection microwave, residential refrigerator, computer workstation, L shaped sofa, fireplace, ceiling fan, AC/heat pump.  Some of the customizations we ordered that are not on the normal price sheets include: 2nd AC/heat pump, 26k chassis, and extra plugs.

We have DirectTV in our current RV and will be moving it to the new one.  You can get a domed in-motion satellite dish, but it does not receive DirectTV HD programs, only SD ones.  And who wants to go backwards!  So we ordered the wiring for the new dish to be installed as a factory option.  Then when we get home, I will get a couple of friends and we will set the new dish up on the roof.  I self-installed the dish on our current rig and from what I can find out, this one should be just as easy.

The Winegard connect is a combination router and WiFi extender.  It can connect to local WiFi systems and rebroadcast their signal in the coach or you can connect to a cell system and get data that way.

Options we did not order included the drop-down bunk which we have no use for, Also did not get the solar panel prep or the CB antenna which we don't need.  But we ordered just about everything else!

We ordered the Maroon Coral paint scheme as shown below:

Just as I am writing this post, Troy P. commented on the earlier post asking what we ordered.  Well, you ask, I answer.....

I have some major plans for modifications to make when we get the rig home and will blog about those as we go along.  Meanwhile, we are now starting to organize and pack for our departure on Thursday morning.....
